Perceiving capacities

Perceiving capacities are the perceptions of a person that tells us how they see and understand things in life. We always rely on our senses to provide us with information about everything around us. Based on which we generate sensations and feelings about different things. In simple terms, this is the basic functionality of the senses that we all have. But that doesn't necessarily mean that you and I will perceive about something in the same way. This is because we don't share the same perceiving capacities. That is the reason why we all have a hard time understanding each other.

These differences in an individual's perceiving capacities are caused due to many contributing factors. Every little thing from growing up to maturing in life will affect how you will perceive anything that comes your way.  But this doesn't imply that we are never going to understand each other.

Finding a Mutual spot to bridge Perceiving capacities.

We can always find a mutual place where our understandings of a certain thing will have similarity to some extent. We might fall under different spots but we can find ourselves on the same page.  To find such mutual spots among each other we first need to understand how a person perceives something.

The best way to know how a person perceives a certain thing is by trying to put yourself in their place or their situation. So that you can get a picture of what they might be going through or you might be able to know why a person behaves in a certain way. If you are able to do that then you might be able to understand a person and their behaviors a little better than before. This way you can eliminate a certain portion of the gap between you and that particular person's perceiving capacity.

Overcoming the gap of Perceiving capacities.

We always try to understand everything in our own ways. If we have some discussions, the first thing what we do is, we always assume ourselves right from the very beginning. It is a part of the human nature to perceive what you know is right. It's like cutting a picture in half and looking at only one-half of it. And then making assumptions based on only that one-half part, not realizing there still exists another half of that same picture.

This means our assumptions and judgement we always make one step ahead of every discussion are based on inadequate information. This is one of the major hindrances that the majority of us have in understanding other people. It is all part of a person's perception and how they perceive things.

What this tells us is, we are looking at a certain thing from a single angle only. When there are multiple angles from where we can see that exact same thing and know and understand more about it than before. The more information you process the better understanding you will have on a subject. Hence, the decisions you make from all those information will be more precise. This will in turn help you bridge the gap of perceiving capacities between individuals and understand them better.

You need to be aware of the fact that there is an existence of differences in perceiving capacities between people at first. To be able to configure all these things before you try to implement them.
